Chelsea Abrahamsson is an Atlanta-based artist known for her bold compositions and expressive storytelling through painting and illustration. Raised in the Lower Connecticut River Valley, she was immersed in a thriving community of artists who helped shape her creative path. After nearly a decade in Charleston, South Carolina, she relocated to Atlanta, where she has been expanding her artistic practice for the past three years.
With a strong foundation in oil painting, Chelsea also explores a variety of mediums, including acrylics, watercolors and pen & ink. Her passion for illustration and sketching adds a dynamic edge to her work, allowing her to experiment with new forms of visual storytelling.
Beyond her personal practice, Chelsea has shared her artistic expertise as an Art Camp Counselor at the Florence Griswold Museum’s Children’s Art Center and as a Children’s Book Illustrator. These experiences have reinforced her belief that art is more than just expression—it is a powerful tool for connection and storytelling.
